Best breakfast on Marco Island. Long waits in season and busy bon weekends all year long. The homemade bread is outstanding ascis the entire menu. A family atmosphere, servers do the best they can ton please everyone. The food is worth it all.

Loved hubby's andouille sausage scramble. I got the crab cake Benny and found it to be heavy in the breading and skimpy on the crab. Hubby like the crab cake benny however. We returned the next day and I got the andouille sausage scramble and it wasn't as good (not as spicy). Hubby got their Huevos Rancheros and couldn't get over the use of red beans in the dish (black or pinto seem more authentic).

We went here for breakfast and lunch several times during our week trip to Marco. The food is great and so is the service. We had biscuits and gravy, crunchy French toast, Cuban Sandwiches. all were great. The prices were great, the two of us ate breakfast for $15.00 (a similar meal at another popular breakfast spot close to Hoots cost close to $30). Highly recommended and we will be coming back on our next trip!

Best breakfast ever!! I had the crabcake eggs Benedict! one word AMAZING!! When you come to Marco Island you MUST come here! Staff is super friendly and great comfortable atmosphere!
(5)Joseph F.
By far best breakfast on the island. We're here at least once a week. Great breakfast food and quick friendly service. Four stars rather than five because the inside could use a little updating.
(4)David M.
I tried them to see if they were better than the other one in Naples the staff gave me an attitude when I sent back my eggs as they were undercooked and what I got back was burnt to the point of unedible

Went to Hoot's on our last day in Marco Island and will certainly go back. Service is strong and the food is outstanding. The owner was on-site the day we ate there and he is particularly attentive and friendly. I personally recommend the Huevos Rancheros but do not miss the cinnamon raisin toast as it's homemade and chock full of raisins. My kids loved their pancakes. It's a great choice for breakfast. Get to Hoot's if you're in the Marco Island area.

We always manage a trip here for a great breakfast while on vacation. The food is excellent, service is very good and fast. We've never been disappointed! The only downside is the location, in a somewhat hidden strip plaza, and no outdoor eating options. Otherwise, it's worth the trip!

Best toast in the area. Seriously. I know it sounds odd, but they do make their own bread and many entrees come with toast. Rye is also available, and good rye is hard to find. Eggs, biscuits, pancakes etc. aren't much different than any other breakfast place. So, come here & have breakfast that includes toast.

The best breakfast we had on the island. I got the eggs benedicts, which was very good. Hash browns were crunchy just how I like them. My fiance got the bacon skillet, which was very tasty as well. He said the toast there was especially good. I wish I had gone here again instead of the other places we ended up trying. Good service and prices too.

Fair. Great service Average food. Go to ne ne's instead.
(3)Tom S.
Best breakfast on the Island. Great home cooking. Fast service. Raisin toast is the best and home made!!
(5)Tammy D.
Very good. Went today for lunch and we were all thrilled with our meals! There wasn't a kids menu but our 20 month old LOVED the chicken tenders! They were real not processed and he devoured them! We will be back to try breakfast soon.
(4)Morgan S.
Best breakfast spot on the island!
(5)Hilary D.
I have never had their lunch food, but the breakfast is AMAZING! My boyfriend lives on Marco, and when I visit, we both love it so much we go almost every other morning. Gotta love the eggs benedict and the andouille scramble!
(5)Tom M.
I am a real fan of a good breakfast place - and Hoots qualifies. The service is good and respectful. I don't go often enough to be known by name but the regulars are all greeted by name and the servers know what their likely order is. Big thumbs up from me.
(4)Mark O.
I'm not sure what I'm missing but this place was very average at best. It's a typical diner feeling place with outdated decor, out dated and slow service, and very average food. Nothing was terrible but the vegetable omelet tasted like some eggs with a heaping pile of frozen veggies on top and the waffle was very basic. The restaurant is filled with many local senior citizens who frequent the place and the wait staff know by name. I get the feeling they come for the company and cheap food. Maybe we set ourselves up for disappointment after eating at Doreen's the day before, but I don't get the hype and think there are other good establishments I would try before this one.

Don't miss Hoot's for breakfast. After growing tired of marginal, pricey resort food, we found Hoot's. the only bad thing I have to say is I'm sorry we didn't find it sooner. It's the type of place where absolutely everything on the menu sounds good, and watching the food come out of the kitchen you want one of everything. Hubby's skillet was excellent and my eggs Benedict was truly the best I've ever had. Kiddo loved his French toast. Our server was delightful. Highly recommended!
(5)Krizia G.
Not at all what the hype was from previous reviews. Doreen's cup of Joe is totally way better.

My husband and I went here for breakfast every morning of our recent four-day weekend on Marco Island. Well, almost. And I regret not going back before we left to drive home. Literally -everything here is good.- It's genuinely hard to believe, but true. Some things you can order here might be LITERAL MIRACLES. Other things will just be tasty. Surely their country fried steak is divinely inspired. It was literally the best country fried steak I've ever eaten. (Sorry, Mom) That gravy? Five all day. Shut up and take my money. I also loved the French toast (which you can order crunchy? is this a crunchy breading??? I might not ever know I can't even...) and their home fries. Fans will know I have serious potato needs. You could say I'm an elitist. Hoots has ballin home fries. Represent. Service is so fast you'll get whiplash. Coffee could be better, but could definitely be worse. I'll dream of you, Hoots, I'll dream of you.
(5)Steven P.
Great food. Some nice vegetarian options like Veggie Benedict. Order Hollandaise on the side. Nice ambiance, polite and efficient server staff, great prices and great food!
(5)Bryan M.
Went here for a late lunch to meet family. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes to get a table for 6. It was worth the wait. Peal and Eat shrimp were amazing! and the fresh seafood is exactly what it states "Fresh" Service was good once seated. this place is not good for large crowds. Check out the bathroom you can take a shower..lol
(4)Carole P.
Great breakfast, clean place with very friendly staff. Hoots is our favorite spot for hot coffee, tasty breakfast and at a reasonable price. Lots of choices, French toast is exceptional because it's made on their homemade bread. Love it!!
(5)John S.
The food was delicious and service was outstanding. The owners take care of their customers. The Mac and cheese was yummy. The pancakes were fluffy. The eggs were cooked just right. I think I will try the French toast next!
(5)Jim V.
We had breakfast here twice this week. How is that for a review. We are full time residents and forgot all about this place. Great food. I would recommend this to everyone. Hoots reminds me of an old school diner.
(4)Jim W.
I was hoping for better, but honestly the best thing that I can say about this place is that they serve it up very fast. I looked around at other tables and did not see anything that looked great so I went with an old mainstay for me - Denver omelet with american cheese. My wife had a veggie omelet with spinach and a few other things. Their style of omelet is my least favorite (flattened egg patty folded over the ingredients a opposed to when the ingredients are actually part of the omelet). My wife's omelet had way too much spinach was very poorly sauteed. It just wasn't very good. Waste of precious vaca calories and money.
(2)Shawn D.
Great breakfast, fast service, friendly staff. I ordered the andouille sausage scramble. It was very tasty and Came with a side of rye toast and rice & beans. The toast was excellent. The coffee, bacon, and HASH BROWNS were very good as well. Great spot for a quick breakfast.

Here's the simple review-If you're going to go out for ONE good breakfast while in Marco Island, FL. make SURE it's at Hoot's. It was easily the best breakfast we had while on our trip. On the day we went to Hoot's we got a late start since we were just going to hang at the beach all day. My wife asked where we should go and I had two choices - NeNe's and Hoot's...both had great reviews, but I was really intrigued by the Crunchy French Toast I read about in a number of reviews...so it HAD to be Hoot's. (Sadly, I never got to NeNe's...next time!) My wife and daughter kept it simple-a couple of eggs, hash browns and toast...my wife added a side of bacon-crispy, but more for all of us to get a taste. My son ordered the pancakes...and said he never wanted to eat at IHOP again unless their pancakes tased like the ones at Hoot's. Fluffy, full of flavor, and just the right serving size for my son. The bacon and hash brows I tasted were excellent as well. So, the Crunchy French toast. I put in my order (and a side of grits...love me some grits when I'm down south) after asking the waitress about it. Normal French Toast, coated in crushed corn flakes, then cooked like normal French Toast. Ummm, sign me up for this on every trip I ever take to Marco Island. I love French Toast, I've loved it since I was a kid and my Mom would make it for us. Honestly, it's one of my favorite things to eat for breakfast so a change like this to one of my favorite meals might have caused hesitation...but I had confidence. My first bite brought a tiny bit of skepticism because of the texture...but then the taste really sunk in and I was hooked. Not only was it an amazing new way to eat French Toast, but they gave me three HUGE pieces...Sadly, I actually left some on the plate-I couldn't finish. Great food, excellent service, and friendly prices...no tourist gouging here. Give Hoot's a try-you'll be recommending it like I just did...
(5)Jim W.
Went to breakfast with my wife today I think it is one of the best values on the island. Home baked bread, fast and fresh food. The service is always great and your coffee cup never runs dry. Just plain good southern food like grits and hash
(4)Kara S.
This is my family's favorite breakfast spot! While I believe it's a little off the beaten path for tourists, it's certainly a local hot spot. The food has been consistently good for years. My favorite is the biscuits and gravy, and my boyfriend loves the bacon skillet (with eggs scrambled). Their bread is also fantastic, I believe they make it there fresh! Overall, its a great spot to get your favorite breakfast items for a good price. Nothing too fancy, just a good home cooked meal.
(4)Roe F.
Great place for breakfast. Local and delicious. Try the eggs benedict it is amazing. Prices are really reasonable.
(5)Emily E.
Love, love, love! I got the Turkey&Bacon panini, which was to die for, along with a side of fruit, which was strawberries and cantaloupe. I loved the fruit, it was EXTREMLY fresh. The tea was excellent, as well as the Diet Coke, however the water count on the Sprite was off par. Definitely recommend for breakfast or lunch!
(4)Kay C.
Good food, good service. I would go back again.
(4)Cindy G.
This is a great breakfast place. Great service, great food. I had crunchy French toast, it was amazing! I would return without a question.
(5)Laurence K.
I'm from New York City and went here with my family for brunch. The reviews are right on. Little out of the way / off the strip cheap place with friendly staff and food to impress even my hard to please father in law.
(5)J M.
Amazing eggs benny and crunchy French toast!
(5)Jim G.
We showed up for a late breakfast and had to wait about 15 minutes...is that a gripe? NO! This was so worth the wait. The food was fresh, the bread was freshly baked and the service was homey. I had the crab cakes Benedict and my wife had an 'open face omelette'. Great find on Yelp. Feels like a locals place and not touristy.
(5)Patricia G.
I expected more after reading all the glowing reviews. Everything was fine, but nothing to get excited about. The server kept our mugs full of coffee, but the coffee was so weak that I wouldn't have known what it was in a blind taste test. It was standard diner fare.
(3)Rick W.
This is absolutely the best breakfast place on the Island, hands-down. (Note the near-uniformity off reviews for this joint!) Big portions, always tasty, outstanding service and priced right, this place is on my Marco Island Musts list. Please, PLEASE, P L E A S E bring back the lump crabmeat eggs benedict! It was heaven on a breakfast patter! In-season patrons WILL pay to play!!
(5)Ashlie M.
every year we go to marcos island and this is the first year we went to hoots... we usually go to nenes, so my comparisons are of nenes and hoots prices are normal like nenes. hoots portions are much bigger. the crunchy french toast was huge! and good. Much bigger seating area. Better coffee I would def come back here next year instead of nenes
(4)April S.
Went early in the morning on a Thursday. The staff was so kind and quick! I had scrabbled eggs, home fries and pancakes. The home fries were special! I'd definitely order them again.
(4)Maria J.
Service is slow and the breakfast is good but average. We went here because of the other reviews that raved about this place, however there are so many other better places than Hoots for breakfast / brunch with better service and better food like Petit Soleil. Don't get me wrong, the food was not terrible, but nothing to rave about. I had the omelettes with a side of toast. The food was what you would expect out of breakfast. There was nothing spectacular however to keep me coming back.
(3)Cindy M.
This place is a little hard to find, tucked in the corner of a strip mall. We had bacon, eggs, and corned beef hash. As many have said, the toast is what will bring you back- we had rye and wheat, both great. The home fries were pretty tasteless without ketchup. Overall, I would consider it a wash with Nene's, either would work for a really good breakfast!
(4)J H.
Yummy!! Good coffee! Super nice service and a good selection of food. Salads come with bread, love it, and the rye bread is very tasty. Salads are full of fresh greens. Hubby had an omelet and said it was good. Burgers and sandwiches are yum too.
(5)m b.
Agreed with all other reviewers- nice breakfast spot, much better than chains or overpriced hotels.
(4)Joanne R.
We've been to Marco on two previous trips but had never heard of Hoot's. Thanks to Yelp we discovered it and are so glad we did! The food was fresh and fantastic! We had the corned beef hash with eggs (thanks to another Yelp review) and it was the best ever! We also had the breakfast burrito with bacon, French toast and omelet. The hash browns were great as well! Red Rooster is normally our "go-to" place for breakfast on the island, but it has serious competition now!
(5)Ivonne G.
Came to eat a nice lunch with the family and to be honest I was a bit disappointed. With all the stellar reviews, I thought I would have been more content. I ordered the crab eggs benedict - it was really good but sauce could have been better. My husband ordered the crab cake sandwich and it was just ok. Fries were bland. Service was great though.
